Communities in Schools

Everman ISD has Communities in Schools (CIS) case managers on four of our campuses; Dan Powell Learning Academy, Townley Elementary, Baxter Junior High, and Everman Joe C Bean High School. “Communities In Schools® (CIS®) believes that every student, regardless of race, gender, ability, zip code, or socioeconomic background, has what they need to realize their full potential in school and beyond.

We walk by their side, in their communities, to challenge the systems and barriers that stand between them and their success in life.”  On the campuses where we have CIS case managers, students and families who are a part of the program can receive extra support, including small group counseling and other resources as needed by the family and student.
