Melodie Brookins is the music teacher at Souder Elementary and also serves as director of the EISD 4th/5th Grade Honor Choir. She has been educating students for 31 years and is honored to now be working with our extremely talented elementary students. She is an alumnus of Jarvis Christian College, where she received an All-Level Music Education degree. She holds certifications in All-Level Music Education K-12, General Music 1-8 and General Education 1-8. She completed her additional certification at TCU. Ms. Brookins has been directing choirs in Everman ISD for 17 years serving at the Jr. High, the high school, Johnson 6th Grade Center and now Souder Elementary. She has an unquenchable love for music and for educating young people. She is extremely excited about beginning the next chapter in her life as an elementary music teacher in Everman ISD and looks forward to pushing her students towards excellence and greater things!
