Principal - Mary Preston
Welcome to 6th Grade - the year that marks the Gateway to Secondary Education! My name is Mary Preston and I am honored to be a part of one of the most important years in your students’ lives. I have been in education for 17 years as an elementary teacher, a librarian, and an administrator in Fort Worth, Crowley and now Everman. I am proud to be a bulldog! My desire is to bring all that I have each day for the students and the staff at Johnson.
As the campus principal, my priority is that students will explore innovative ideas, debate points-of-view, and become equipped with the academic skills they need for success this year and beyond. Our 6th graders will be prepared to read, write, and problem-solve at deeper levels. They will also learn to engage in opportunities to support and develop responsibility and leadership. No doubt, this year will be academically challenging…but exciting. There is no other way for a bulldog!
Parents, we at Johnson 6th are here for you. We appreciate your support and welcome your participation. Please feel free to schedule time with your child’s teacher or the administrative staff regarding your student’s academic progress.
At Johnson, “children are the priority, change is the reality, collaboration is the strategy” (Justin Billings) Make it a great year!
