11th/12th Grade Assistant Principal - Darriel D. ErvinHello EHS Bulldog Family,
My name is Darriel Ervin, and I am a career teacher and coach in my 18th year as an educator. I am proud to be a part of the bulldog family and am excited about the opportunity to again serve the Everman community as the senior assistant principal at EHS.
I have taught all secondary core subjects and grade levels as well as computer technology and physical education at the elementary level with the majority of my experience teaching science. I have been an athletic coordinator and head football coach and have coached multiple sports on multiple secondary grade levels.
I am originally from Waco, Texas, where I gained my love for sports, science, and helping others. After graduating from Waco High School, I earned my bachelors in interdisciplinary studies from Prairie View A & M University and then went on to earn a master’s degree in school leadership from Tarleton State University. I have an amazing 12-year-old son who reminds me daily of the importance of guiding our students to excellence.
My career as an educator began directly out of college and I have had the opportunity to work and gain experience in multiple districts including Waco ISD, Grand Prairie ISD, Crowley ISD, but now I am home with the Everman ISD family!
I have gained invaluable knowledge and a wealth of experience from my years in the in the classroom, being an athletic coordinator, and school leader. I will continue to use my education, many experiences, and my desire to help others as a tool to promote and foster EXELLENCE!
Sincerely,
Darriel D. Ervin, M.Ed
