Steps to Employment

Requirements of all employees:
_____1. Be at least 21 years of age except:
Some maintenance or food service positions may require only 18 years of age
_____2. Complete at least the equivalent of a high school education
_____3. Criminal background check verifying suitability for employment
_____4. Be able to successfully communicate in English (orally and written)
Prior to interview complete items below online at:

_____6. Resume (Optional)
At interview provide:
_____7. Applicable education verification which may include:
Copy of college transcript
High school diploma or transcript
Verification of GED
_____8. Resume (if not online)
_____9. Sign application
If applying for a teaching position, provide the following :
_____10. Teacher Certifications
    (or)
Proof of application for Certification
_____11. Letter from university of pending completion of courses
    (or)
90 day letter of recommendation from university if applicable
    (or)
Letter of acceptance from an alternative program
_____12. Copy of Test Scores
To complete employment process, provide or complete:
_____13. Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9)
_____14. Driver’s License
_____15. Social Security Card
_____16. Form W4
_____17. Social Security Form
_____18. Retirement Form (if not already TRS member)
_____19. Payroll – Direct Deposit form with “Voided” check attached
_____20. Public Access Form
_____21. Professional Contract (if applicable)
_____22. Service records (if applicable)
_____23. Meet with employee benefits personnel
