The Everman Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously voted to call a bond election to be held jointly with Tarrant County on May 12, 2007.
After many meetings, campus tours, enrollment projections and financial scenarios, a hard working, volunteer Community Facilities Committee recommended that the EISD Board of Trustees call for a Bond Election to meet the current and future needs of the district.
The Board accepted the recommendations of the Community Facilities Committee to call for a Bond Election for the construction of a new elementary campus and needed improvements to high school athletic facilities. After discussion and additional public input, the Board added the construction of a new junior high campus, but only if state financial assistance is available and if continuing growth justifies an additional campus.
